Introduction to first aid and emergency
Immediate and temporary treatment given to the person who suffers an accident or any sudden illness before the medical help is available. Idea of first aid was conceived by the German Surgeon General ESMARCH (1823-1908)
This was an age when technology was on the rise and accident was on the rise but medical facilities was not so advance and was very devastating. There was severe loss of human life, injuries to body and mind. Hospital facilities were far away so the need of the hour was to provide immediate relief till the medical help arrives at the scene.
